Commercial item acquisition for purchasing and seeding for protective cover on 474 acres of land in Polk County, Iowa. Work shall consist of purchasing and seeding all areas planted to soybeans except for the firebreak areas as indicated on the seeding map. The time to perform this contract is 60 days. No work can be started at the project site till November 15th, 2002 and all work must be completed by June 1, 2003. There will no formal Prebid/Site Visit Meeting. This project will be performanced based with minimal specifications. The solicitation will be based on FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13. Proposals from contractors will be evaluatd on contractor technical capabilities, past performance and price. Contractors will be required to submit an Experience Questionaire along with their bid proposal.
