Contractor shall provide all necessary services and equipment for supervision, labor, tools, parts, repair, fuel, transportation, and any other supplies necessary to mulch/grind Ashe Juniper in designed areas on Fort Hood Military Installation, Coryell County, Texas. The contract will be a Requirements contract for a basic year plus 4 option years. Work shall consist of mulching or grinding Ashe Juniper windrows and live standing Ashe Juniper trees in specified areas with minimal ground disturbance. Mulch produced shall be spread on-site. The work will be located on Fort Hood Military Installation in both the Military Training Areas (MTA) and the Live Fire Training Area (LFTA). Work shall be accomplished in accordance with all laws, regulations, clauses, and requirements of the Department of Defense and USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The annual estimated densities for Ashe Juniper that have been placed in windrows are: heavy - 470 acres, medium - 325 acres, and low - 50 acres. The annual estimated densities for standing live Ashe Juniper are: heavy - 30 acres, medium - 20 acres, and low - 50 acres. Only one award will be made for the entire project. The NAICS Code is 562119. Price range is from $250,000 to $500,000 annually. A pre-bid conference and site showing will be conducted on August 8, 2002, 10:00 A.M., at the Gatesville Field Office, 105 Memorial Drive, Gatesville, Texas 76528.
