Solicitation is to mechanically treat the hardwood and pine midstory in selected areas to improve habitat for the red cockaded woodpecker and to facilitate prescribed burning in the urban interface. This solicitation will result in an indefinite quantities contract with a minimum of 200 acres and a maximum of 1000 acres with a estimated quantity of 500 acres. This work will be done on the Witherbee Ranger District on the Francis Marion National Forest in South Carolina.
