The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, has a need to demonstrate automated mass planting techniques regarding compliance with the Endangered Species ACT (ESA), in support of the pending implementation of the Multi-Species Conservation Program (MSCP). The purpose of the Request for Quote (to be issued approximately December 21, 2004) is to demonstrate cottonwood (Populus fremontii) or willow (Salix goodingii) automated mass planting techniques. This requirement is being procured under the Commercial Items Test Program at FAR 13.5 for full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 111421. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) site prior to the award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov.
