This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the use of a track mounted tree chipper. Trees will be felled by Forest Service crews. The contractor will chip all felled trees and limbs not marked for wildlife and soil protection. All resource disturbance (i.e. ruts, tracks) created by machinery will be smoothed and restored to natural appearance. The project area includes approximately 380 acres on the Cleveland National Forest, Laguna Mountain Recreation Area. Estimated start date is September 1, 2004. Contract time is 180 calendar days.
