Any information submitted to this Sources Sought is strictly voluntary. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor pay for any information that may be submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought. This Notice is a request by the Government to collect information from companies for the purpose of Market Research. Not providing a response to this Sources Sought will not prohibit/exclude your company from participating in any future solicitations. The National Park Service (NPS), Yellowstone National Park is considering issuing a Request for Quote for firm-fixed priced base plus four option year contract with a period of performance October 1, 2017 to June 1, 2022. Yellowstone National Park is seeking winter pasture for a minimum of 40 and up to a maximum of 110 head of government-owned horses and mules. Animals shall be pastured in one group in a pasture (grassland) setting within 200 miles from Gardiner, MT. Pasture shall be large enough to allow free-roaming behavior and shall provide the food and water necessary to sustain the animals in good condition. Each pasture shall have reliable water sources capable of supplying adequate flowing water to the herd. Water must be available to the stock at all times and shall be inspected by the contractor to ensure it is not frozen over. Corrals for gathering and doctoring all horses at same time must be onsite near pasture and be in good working condition. Contractor shall alert the NPS if a need arises for supplemental feed and must supply and distribute this feed daily.
