The Eldorado National Forest is soliciting competitive offers for the Happy Camp Stewardship Project. The Happy Camp Stewardship Project is located within T.9N., R.13.E., T.10N., R.12E., and T10N., R13E., M.D.B.&M. Sealed â âBest Valueâ offers will be received at the Forest Supervisor's Office at 10:00 A.M. local time on May 15, 2006 for an estimated 6,385 Tons ( 910 M board feet) of sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting on 490 acres and 2 mandatory stewardship projects. Mandatory stewardship projects are: small tree (non-sawtimber) thinning and removal on 490 acres and mastication of 44 acres. Optional stewardship projects are 161 acres of mastication or LOP and Scatter. Contract contains Specified Roads with an estimated public works construction cost of $ 24,892 plus deposits for Road Reconstruction Engineering. The Forest Service will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer and technical proposal according to the information found under the section in the offer titled âInstructions to Offerors.â Evaluation factors for this project are organizational experience, organizational past performance, local community economic enhancement (including small business enhancement), understanding the Governmentâs requirements, and price. One award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and whose technical/price relationship is the âbest valueâ to the Government.
