Project is to secure services for manual grubbing of vegetation around conifer seedlings to enhance survival and growth on stands located on the Scott River and the Oak Knoll Ranger Districts on the Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies and incidentals to perform all work specified in the specifications. LOCATION OF PROJECT: Project is located on the Scott River and Oak Knoll Ranger Districts of the Klamath National Forest. All stands are accessible by standard pickup during the normal operating season unless otherwise noted. Four-wheel drive vehicles may be necessary when snow or mud is abundant in the project area. PREBID TOUR: A pre-bid tour is NOT scheduled. CONTRACT TIME: 41 calendar days.Work is estimated to start the first week in April, 2004. Estimated date solicitation will be issued: Approximately February 2, 2004 with an estimated due date of March 3, 2004.
