COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR THE GUNNISON CHEATGRASS SPRAYING Description of Work: The purpose of this project is to chemically treat cheatgrass within the inventoried areas of the database as well as adjacent areas not yet mapped. The contractor will not be required to treat areas beyond 100 feet of roads and trails as denoted on the attached maps. Road conditions vary from well-maintained county gravel roads to rough primitive roads requiring four-wheel-drive. Treatment along trails will require non-motorized techniques. A site tour is scheduled for 9AM August 14, 2014. The meeting location will be at the Gunnison Field Office. If planning to attend please contact Brian Brown at (970) 642-4945 to RSVP. This site visit will travel to a few example areas to give contractors an opportunity to better understand the extent of the cheatgrass infestation.
