The Natural Resources Conservation Service is requesting quotes for growing Oklahoma native seedlings. The work will consist of furnishing seed source, labor, and equipment necessary to grow approximately 28,000 seedlings that are native to Oklahoma. The planting of the seed source should occur once contract is awarded in Fall 2006. Live Air Prune Root Method shall be used. The common names of the seedlings required are White Oak, Southern Oak, Overcup Oak, Bur Oak, Swamp Chestnut Oak, Chinkapin Oak, Water Oak, Pin Oak, Willow Oak, Northern Red Oak, Shumard Oak, Post Oak, Nutall Oak, Bald Cypress, Pecan, and Black Walnut. The seed source must be from Oklahoma and no more than 150 miles outside of Oklahoma border. The North American Industry Classification Code is 111421. A complete solicitation will be available for download on September 25, 2006 at this Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. Interested offerors may submit bids to USDA NRCS, Attn: Contracting Section, 100 USDA, Suite 206, Stillwater, OK 74074 by 1 p.m. CST on October 5, 2006. Bids may be hand-carried to Suite 213.
