This project is for the chainsaw thinning of mixed conifer plantations on approximately 328 acres of National Forest land. This solicitation is issued under the procedures for commercial items acquisition. Thinning will be accomplished by selecting and cutting less desirable trees and retaining those that exhibit good growth characteristics such as vigorous growth, no signs of disease, and good position in the canopy. This is a Request for Quotations issued under commercial items procedures, total small business setaside, offers due July 5. Fax offers are acceptable, however it is the responsiblity of the offeror to verify receipt of faxed documents.
