***MODIFICATION TO CHANGE SECOND CONTACT TO GLORIA TAYLOR***The purpose of this project is to accomplish precommercial thinning and subsequent residue treatment in conifer plantations and natural (second growth) stands using hand tools or hand held mechanical tools. Residue created from this project will be treated by piling, bucking, lopping and scattering. Project is located on the Groveland Ranger District, Stanislaus National Forest. Estimated start date is September 1, 2003; project scheduled for a 2 year duration. There are 2 bid items, Item 1 on approx 118 acres and Item 2 on approx. 263 acres.
