NOTE: THIS SOLICITATION WAS PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED AS RFP-R5-15-00-62. ALL SOLICITATION REQUESTS FROM THAT NOTICE WILL BE APPLIED TO RFP-R5-15-02-22. This Granite Stewardship Project, located on the Groveland Ranger District, Stanislaus National Forest, is expected to be a five-year contract to perform multiple resource management activities for the purpose of demonstrating enhanced ecosystem health and water quality, and significantly reducing the risk of catastrophic wildfire in the Granite project area. Summary of treatment activities and estimated quantities include: sawlog and biomass removal in second growth stands and plantations; mechanical shredding; hand felling; burn plan development; burn preparation and prescribed burning; new road construction; road reconstruction; road decommissioning; road closures; stream channel restoration; meadow restoration; hill-slope restoration; fence installation; fence repair and maintenance; OHV staging area design and construction; OHV trail designation; and OHV road designation; noxious weed control; black oak restoration; monitoring plan development: wildlife, ecosystem health, water quality, and implementation monitoring; and yearly monitoring reports. There will be a pre-bid/pre-proposal conference 9:00 a.m. on May 31, 2002 located at Cherry Lake and the Damm.
