***This solicitation package, including specifications for work, will be posted electronically on this website on approximately December 5, 2005*** The Gordon Gulch Stewardship Project is located on the Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho/Roosevelt National Forest, Boulder County,Colorado. Project includes tree thinning, slash treatment and associated activities on approximately 294 acres. Project also includes the removal of approximately 513 ccf of sawtimber. Products other than logs would be negotiable. Contract time will be approximately 2 years. Estimated Start Work Date is February 2006. ***A site visit is scheduled for October 26, 2005. Site visit will convene at 9 A.M. on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 in the conference room at Boulder Ranger District Office, 2140 Yarmouth Avenue, Boulder CO 80301. There will be an in-office summary of project and then we will proceed to contract area, which is about 3 miles north of Nederland. Contractors interested in visiting the site shall provide their own transportation.***
