This project consists of: 1) hazardous fuels reduction and slash treatment, 2) logging and removal of saw timber and product other than log (POL). These activities will take place on approximately 79 - 86 acres of Forest Service land on the Dillon Ranger District in the White River National Forest. The service units are located in Summit county; 2 miles Northeast of the town of Frisco and 4 miles North of the town of Breckenridge. The estimated quantity of saw timber to be removed is 907 CCF of Lodgepole Pine; 8 CCF of Engelmann Spruce; 196 CCF of POL; and an unestimated amount of Biomass. Some temporary road construction and maintenance will be required in order to complete the service work and timber removal. The NAICS is 115310 and the small business size standard is $16.5 million. Solicitation AG-82X9-S-07-0090 will be issued and posted on this website on or around 4/10/2007. The solicitation will be set aside for small business. Any responsible small business may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The forest service anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract utilizing best value techniques and stewardship authority. The period of performance will be approximately 10 months from date of award.
