THIS MODIFICATION ADDS INFORMATION ABOUT THE METHOW VALLEY RANGER DISTRICT - 937 acres of precommercial thinning (this includes sanitation, crop tree release and precommercial thinning) and up to 65 acres of handpiling (Okanogan County). Contact person Bill Stanforth at 509-996-4084. We will be issuing maps for the 2003 Thinning, Fuels Reduction, Tree Improvement and/or Weed, Clean Release on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forests, Chelan County, WA. This is an opportunity for prospective bidders to view project sites prior to snowfall. Solicitations will be issued in late winter/early spring. Proposed project area packets with maps of the areas are now available. No formal pre-bid tour will be scheduled. Request presolicitation proposed project area packets from CHELAN RANGER DISTRICT - minimum of 130 acres of thinning and possibly 200 plus acres of fuel reduction projects.
