The Eldorado National Forest is soliciting competitive offers for the Forest Guard Stewardship Project. The Forest Guard Stewardship Project is located within T.13N., R.14. E., T.13N., R.15E., T.12N, R14E., T11N, R16E., and T11N., R13E., M.D.B.&M. Sealed – “Best Value” offers will be received at the Forest Supervisor's Office at 2:00 P.M. local time on Monday, May 23, 2005 for an estimated 5,506 Tons (737 M board feet) of sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting on 409 acres and 3 stewardship projects. Stewardship projects are: small tree (non-sawtimber) thinning and removal on 239 acres, brush cutting of 210 acres, and machine piling vegetative debris on 159 acres. The Forest Service will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer and technical proposal according to the information found under the section in the offer titled “Instructions to Offerors.” Evaluation factors for this project are organizational experience, organizational past performance, local community economic enhancement (including small business enhancement), understanding the Government’s requirements, and price. One award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and whose technical/price relationship is the “best value” to the Government.
