The intent of this contract is to secure services for the piling of down woody material and competing vegetation of approximately 150 acres. The end result will be an open pine stand suitable for planting seedlings in after the piles are burned. Project is located on the Tahoe national Forest, Sierraville Ranger District. Project may be reached from Sierraville via Highway 89 south 8 miles to Little Truckee summit. Right onto the Jackson Meadows road for 2 miles to the Independence Lake road for approximately 1 mile to the project area. Solicitation available approximately July 13, 2006.
