The Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forest seeks proposals from well-qualified, experienced and responsible businesses for Containerized Tree Seedling growing services. The contractor would be required to plant, grow, pack, store, and deliver 1-0 or 2-0 greenhouse grown, containerized tree seedlings, native shrub and/or herbaceous seedlings using government furnished seed as per performance based specifications with Forest Service guidelines outlined for stock types and species. Tree species to be grown may include Douglas Fir, Ponderosa Pine, Western Larch, Engelmann Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, Western White Pine, and Western Redcedar, in approximate order of importance. Shrub species such as Rocky Mt. Maple, Redosier Dogwood, Sitka Alder, Mountain Alder, Common Snowberry, and Shinyleaf Spirea as well as herbaceous species like Yarrow, Pearly Everlasting, and Sedges may be ordered also. The tree seedling delivery will be to Ranger Districts in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forests: Methow Valley (Winthrop), Tonasket, Chelan, Entiat, Wenatchee River (Leavenworth), Cle Elum, and/or Naches, Washington. A 2-year period, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity firm fixed price contract is contemplated with a $100,000 maximum combined ordering limitation. Initial year seedling order will be placed by January 2008, with delivery as early as September, 2008 but not later than the spring of 2009.
