This is a total HubZone Set Aside.The purpose of this contract is to pre-commercially thin approximately 490 acres of conifer reproduction approximately 20 – 27 years old. The project area is located on the Petersburg Ranger District of the Tongass National Forest on Kuiu Island Southeast Alaska. Kuiu Island is accessible by boat or float plane. Vehicles need to barged. The performance period is 120 days. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about March 17, 2005 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to get the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation R10-05-05-06 Brown’s Creek PCT. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
