This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation and the solicitation number is BCQ041008. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-21. The NAICS code is 541922. The USDI, Bureau of Land Management, Arcata Field Office, located in Arcata, CA has the following requirement: Project Scope: This project will capture new airborne imagery that will support the Arcata Field Office in the management of the King Range National Conservation Area. All imagery will be flown during the month of July 2004. All imagery will be captured using color negative, clear-based aerial film. The product to be delivered is natural color film and contact prints at 1:12,000 scale covering approximately 154 square miles over the King Range National Conservation Area. Product Specifications: Product Number 1: Natural color film contact prints at 1:12,000 scale over the King Range National Conservation Area. 1. Scale of original photography: 1:12,000. 2. Focal Length of Camera: 12". (a.) (Extreme terrain differences-sea level to 4000'+ elevation in less than 2 miles.) 2. Original film format: standard 9"x9". 3. Film Type: Natural Color. 4. Total area to be flown: 154 Square Miles. 5. Direction of flight lines: South-North. 6. Flight Line layout/design: Contractor decides flightlines (With review by BLM). 7. Total Coverage from planned flight lines including: (a.) 2 photo centers past North and South end of flight lines past BLM project boundary (not included in Square mile figure listed above). 9. Forward Overlap percent: 62 percent (57 percent min. to 67 percent max.). 10. Minimum Sun angle: 45 degrees (preferred over standard 40 degrees). 11. Dates to fly: Before July 31, 2004 (avoid July foggy weather). 12. Specifications: standard BLM specifications for film titling, sidelap, flight heights, metric calibrated camera, etc. (copies available upon request for bid purposes by calling Paul Fritze at 707-825-2367). 13.
