The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) is issuing this request for proposals (RFP) for routine and emergency equine veterinary services for the SFPD Mounted Unit’s herd of approximately twenty horses requiring approximately fifteen routine on-site (at SFPD Stables) services per year. The SFPD anticipates awarding no more than two contracts to the two highest ranking proposers. The contracts shall have an original term of not more than four years and have two renewal options of a period of not more than three years each. Contract award amounts may vary depending on the anticipated availability and capacity of contractors and the breadth of services they are able to provide. The contract total compensation for all contracts awarded during the original period is expected to not exceed $400,000. Please review attached RFP and 5 RFP attachments. A City and County of San Francisco (CCSF) COVID-19 Contractor Vaccination Policy is currently in development.
