Request for Information/ Sources Sought

The Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF), Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait is issuing this Sources Sought as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having interest in and resources to support this requirement. Industry responses to this notice may determine the Government's acquisition strategy.

The Government is seeking sources to provide for a brand name or equal product. The brand name, model number of the product(s) is: HDT's RaDome, FAR 52.211-6 -- Brand Name or Equal is hereby incorporated below.

The Expeditionary Radar Dome minimum Salient Characteristics are as follows:

•Must be at least 30' x 30'

•Must be constructed of material that minimally attenuates the electromagnetic signal transmitted or received by the antenna

•Must be virtually transparent to radar or radio waves

•Must be designed to deploy with minimal logistic support and labor

•Must protects antenna surfaces from environmental conditions such as wind, rain, ice, sand, and ultraviolet rays

•Must conceals electronic antenna equipment from public view

•Item to be delivered to Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait.

If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statement addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation.

This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market research is purely voluntary and the Government assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred and will not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Based on the responses to this Sources Sought notice this requirement may be set aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition.
