This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for deliverable systems prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, F1H4PB0160A001, is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-38. This procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 339113 and the small business size standard is 500 (No. of employees). This requirement is being solicitated as full and open competition.
Requirement is for twenty-three (23) Military Aviation High Altitude Exercise Enhanced Pre-breathe masks, Gentex HyperMed Mask or equal, in the following sizes, Gentex part number (or equal) and related quantities: four (4) each Small, p/n G010-2033-01; six (6) each Medium, p/n G010-2033-02; seven (7) each Medium Wide, p/n G010-2033-03: and six (6) each Large Wide, p/n G010-2033-04. Proposed masks must be equivalent to Model G010-2033 HyperMed Mask Assemblies manufactured by Gentex Respiratory Systems. Salient characteristics include but are not limited to: Must be a variant of existing aviator's masks in the AF aircrew flight equipment inventory (i.e. 12/P or 20/P masks); Capable of achieving seal for delivery of 100% aviator's oxygen; be able to reduce the restriction of breathing during exercise by having separate inhalation/exhalation valves that SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the effort required to breathe while sustaining the requirement to deliver 100% oxygen; and Lightweight, less than 200 grams including hoses, to reduce pressure and friction on pilot's face during exercise.
