The project consists of streambank restoration and stabilization with 236 cubic yards of woven wire gabion baskets, associated drain-fill, and channel clearing and shaping along Grabill Road.
The solicitation will be a Total Small Business set-aside. Interested contractors must be registered as Active and complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award.
All necessary permits and land rights have been acquired.
A firm-fixed price construction contract is anticipated under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. FAR Part 13 and 36 apply. A bid bond is not required and there will be no formal bid opening. A Request for Quotes is being solicited, and can be supplied via fax, email, or regular mail. Award will be made to the lowest priced, responsible offeror.
An alternative form of payment protection, either a Payment Bond (SF-25A) or irrevocable letter of credit (ILC), in the amount of 100% of award will be required within 7 days of award.
The solicitation package, construction drawings and specifications will be posted and available from this site on or about September 10, 2019. Requests for quotes, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, will be due September 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
A site showing to inspect the site will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 10:30 am. Participants should meet at the site on Grabill Road, located 2 miles south of the intersection of Grabill Road and Roundhead Road, or ¼ mile west of the intersection of Grabill Road and Careytown Road. Grabill Road is also known as TWP Road 285 in Liberty Township, Highland County.
Performance time is 34 calendar days.
