The District seeks Proposals from Lease-Leaseback Entities interested in providing Lease-Leaseback services for the Sequoia Upgrades/Nursing Addition at Evergreen Valley College ("EVC"). The Sequoia Upgrades/Nursing Addition is located on the Northeast corner of the campus, adjacent to Acacia building, Student Parking Lots 6, and in proximity to the Visual Performing Arts building. It is expected to connect to the surrounding buildings by creating a central hub for the nursing program. The District plans to upgrade the interior finishes of instructional spaces within the existing Main Building, with a total building square footage of about 27,000 square feet and the Lecture Hall consisting of about 6,000 square feet. The new Nursing Addition will imitate a sterile corridor in an intensive care unit of a hospital, or clinic area. This will be a two-story facility, double-loaded corridor, with observation booths for professors into the simulation lab spaces. The design will need to find a creative solution to connect the main building and lecture hall. This Nursing Addition will not be used for patient health services and does not need to meet requirements necessary to provide patient care, nor is OSHPD conformance required. The project is estimated to have a hard construction cost of approximately $18.7 million dollars exclusive of FF&E.
