The City of Southlake is soliciting proposals for the construction of the following project: Erosion Improvements for Southlake Glen Sealed proposals for "Erosion Improvements for Southlake Glen" shall be received by the City of Southlake. All proposals must be delivered to the City Secretary for the City of Southlake at 1400 Main Street, Suite 270, Southlake, Texas 76092, no later than 11:00 AM local time Friday, May 13th, 2022, and then publicly opened and read aloud in the Town Hall Executive Conference Room, Suite 268. All late bids are to be rejected. Complete Contract Documents as needed for submitting a proposal on the Project may be downloaded free of charge from http://www.civcastusa.com/ starting on Sunday, April 10th, 2022. [email protected] . All questions concerning this project shall be submitted by 5:00 PM on Friday, April 29th, 2022. Any questions submitted after this time and date will not be addressed. An optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, at Southlake City Hall (1400 Main Street, Southlake, TX 76092) in the Town Hall Executive Conference Room, Suite 268. This conference is for the purpose of interpretation for bidding Contractors of Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, for the construction of the project. This project generally consists of approximately 510 CY of Gabion Baskets, steel truss pedestrian bridge, and related appurtenances associated with erosion improvement for Southlake Glen. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bid bond with their proposal as a guarantee that the Offeror will enter into a contract for the project with the Owner within ten (10) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to the City of Southlake in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the contract documents. Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds, bound to the City of Southlake are required, each in an amount of not less than one- hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials. The City of Southlake reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the proposals submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any or all proposals, and/or waive formalities. Bids may not be withdrawn within ninety (90) days from the date on which bids are opened.
