The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Natick Soldier RD&E Center (NSRDEC) intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Bruker BioSpin, Inc. under FAR 6.302-1 - Only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements and FAR 13.500 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items for delivery and installation of the AVANCE NEO 400 MHz NMR Spectrometer Console which includes SHIM CURRENT BOARD, 10A GRADIENT AMPLIFIER, 1H GaAs PREAMPLIFIER, BB19F GaAs PREAMPLIFIER, 31P GaAs PREAMPLIFIER, 2H LOCK TRANSCEIVER, 2H GaAs PREAMPLIFIER, VARIABLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL, 1CH HIGH BAND RF AMPLIFIER, 2CH BROAD BAND RF AMPLIFIER, RF CHANNEL, Acquisition PC with Windows OS, 24 inch TFT MONITOR, TopSpin4 acquisition and processing license, SHAT400A CMC-se ACA New, SHNS100A-04 NUS ACA. Vendor will provide training for several workforce members. The magnet, probes, electronics and connections for the previous instrument which are still in working condition and are not obsolete. The console that powers and runs the machine needs to be replaced. No other vendor will be able to replace just the console due to differing interfaces, hardware, connections which are company specific. Another vendor would only be able to supply the magnet and console, which would cost much more.
