The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, New Jersey issued a 5-year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Telephonics Corporation, Farmingdale, NY on 15 July 2010. The initial Justification and Approval for going sole-source to Telephonics has expired and this synopsis extends the notification for the remaining terms of the BOA. The purpose of the BOA and all subsequent delivery orders is to procure equipment and spare parts to support the AN/TPX-42A(V)14/15 Shipboard Air Traffic Control (ATC) System including: Data Processing Group (DPG) p/n 310-2000-002, DPG Rack Dual Band Radar p/n 310-2000-003, Radar Data Processor (RDP) Joint Precision Approach and Landing (JPALS) p/n 310-2001-005, RDP DBR p/n 310-2001-0004, legacy RDP JPALS kit, RDP Reply Detection Unit (RDU) p/n 310-2005-002, RDP Video Processor Unit (VPU) p/n 310-2003-003, Power Supply RDP, Single Board Computer (SBC) RDP p/n 310-2002-002, and SBC RDP p/n 310-2002-003. The Government does not own the technical data/rights to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure the above listed items under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1.
Telephonics is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the AN/TPX-42A(V)14/15 Shipboard ATC equipment; therefore Telephonics would be the only source with the knowledge, experience, and technical data necessary to provide the essential equipment and spare parts with the required compatibility and interchangeability for integration into existing Shipboard ATC systems.
Firms that may be able to provide these items are encouraged to identify themselves. Vendors who are able to provide the required items on a continual basis for the 5 year time period are asked to provide company name, company address, company point of contract, company phone, and DUNS number or Cage Code.
