The 802d Contracting Squadron at Lackland AFB, TX intends to award a Sole Source contract to Motorola, Inc., 7031 Gateway Drive 3rd Floor, Columbia, MD, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for the maintenance and repair of Trunk Land Mobile Radio (TLMR) Infrastructure Maintenance, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Motorola, Inc. on a sole source basis due to proprietary information protected by copyright laws and compatibility with Government-owned equipment. The NAICS Code is 334119 and the small business standard size is 1,000. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Proposals must be received not later than Friday, 05 August 2011, 12:00 p.m. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal procurement action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
