This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Intramural Research Program intends to solicit, negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis Salimetrics, 101 Innovation Boulevard, Suite 302, State College, PA 16803 for the following:
Item# 5100 - Qty 2300 vials - Cortisol, Saliva, duplicate, EIA
Item# 5420 - Qty 2300 vials - Alpha-Amylase, saliva, singlet
To test the relationship between stress and drug use. Measuring response to standardized stressors in a laboratory setting and reports of stress exposure and response as participants go about their daily lives. To analyze saliva samples taken from sessions and two other types of stressors collected in laboratory sessions after 4 and 17 weeks of treatment. Two analytes wil be measured, cortisol and alpha amylase.
The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition FAR 13 and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this notification. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
