The General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Services (FAS), Rocky Mountain Region 8 on behalf of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Salt Lake City, UT, VMAC, intends to negotiate with Halyard Health, Inc., under the authority of FAR 13.106.

The NAICS Code is 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing with a Size Standard of 500 employees. The Product/Service Code is 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies. GSA anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract for this requirement.

Response Request:

Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed in Description of Requirement may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations/proposals or bids. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If competitive procedures are not used it is estimated that an award will be issued by 1/31/2018.

Product Salient Characteristics:
The Government requires a complete enteral nutrition system, complete with all accessories, connections, cables, equipment, power, etc., necessary to completely deliver nutrition to patients. An acceptable enteral nutrition system must meet the following minimum characteristics:
1) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved stylets for reinsertion while feeding tube is indwelling.
2) Product must contain electromagnetic transmitter (or similar technology) that provides real time visualization relative of the tube tip position for feeding tube placement.
3) The system must provide functionality for printout of the multiple placement views for documentation purposes.
4)The system must include functionality for Anterior, Depth Cross Section and Lateral views during the placement procedure and post procedure during placement playback. As well as providing 2D and 3D views during placement and for review.
