The Department of Veterans' Affairs, James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital (JAHVH) located in Tampa, Florida intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source requirements contract with Kay Elemetrics Corp , New Jersey to provide five (5) Rigid Endoscopes part number 9106.  This unique product is compatible with our existing KayPentax Digital Strobe and Digital Swallowing Workstation.  The 9106 Rigid telescopic laryngeal endoscope, 70 degree forward angle with integrated fiber optic cable with a 10mm diameter; provides excellent endoscopes for stroboscopic and high speed images.  The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.  Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  However, all information received by 12 p.m. EST, 20 April 2009, will be considered by the Government.  A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  NAICS 334510 with a size standard of 500 employees.  No solicitation document is available.  Telephone requests will not be accepted.  Interested parties may e-mail information to [email protected] or fax 813-903-4838 (ATTN: Daniel Perez).
