The purpose of this synopsis is to announce that in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract with Stratasys, Inc., located at 7665 Commerce Way, Eden Prairie, MN 55344, to procure yearly Emerald Care 450 maintenance of the Stratasys Fortus 450mc 3D Printer System. The base year and three option years, if exercised, would include the purchase of the maintenance agreement and continual 3D printer maintenance.

In accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1), the Government intends to negotiate solely with Stratasys, Inc., as no other source of supplies/services will satisfy agency requirements. The Fortus 450mc Printer System is designed and manufactured by Stratasys, Inc. All internal parts, and software and firmware are 100% proprietary to Stratasys Inc. No other vendor has the capability to professionally service and maintain this specific proprietary 3D printer system.
