Solicitation N0042117T0123 is issued as an intent to sole source.  The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit the proposed purchase order. The renewal of the software and hardware support must be provided by EMC Corp, under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by FAR Part 13.106-1(b).   The EMC Corp holds proprietary rights to the software. The software must be compatible in form, fit and function with existing system. Offerors mus be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at https://www.sam.gov/portal/publis/SAM.

This is a firm fixed-price procurement; therefore, the offeror’s intial offer should represent the vendor’s best quote in terms of price and technical acceptability.

The Government intends to award this on a sole source basis.  All interested parties MUST submit their capabilities and a quote no later than 3 Mar 2017.  The Government will make a decision to consider other offers.
