The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a sole source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a three year ordering period with General Atomics (GA), San Diego, California. The anticipated contract will be for the efforts needed to procure Interim Spares for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System and Advanced Arresting Gear onboard CVN 78. This may include parts manufacturing, assembly, production, inspection, and testing. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
