Bridge span is approximately 40’ x 6’-8’ wide. 5. The new bridge will be a prefabricated steel truss bridge that has a rail height of 48 inches. The bridge railings (truss) and deck beams will be Corten, aka, weathering steel. The trusses allow NPS to remove the supports in the middle of the channel. The new bridge tread can be either 3x10 wood decking or concrete. Both materials are placed on the bridge after it has been erected. Design of the bridge foundations will be required.
