NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole source award to the Kinloch Equipment & Supply, Inc., 3816 Binz-Engleman Rd. San Antonio, TX 78219 (Cage Code: 52444) for the purchase of a street sweeper head and relevant parts for Government owned Elgin Crosswind Series J Serial # J2011D. The equipment required is available only by Kinloch Equipment & Supply, Inc, who is the sole distributor for the requesting region.

This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and intends to procure and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), that the circumstances of this contract action deem only a single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. Interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the requirement in writing to [email protected] no later than 1300 hours CST, Wednesday, 29 July 2020. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
