The 455th Air Expeditionary Wing has a forthcoming requirement for elevator repair and maintenance services for performance at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. The potential requirement is summarized as follows:
Elevator Maintenance:
The contractor would be responsible for servicing two OTIS elevators in accordance with all applicable standards to include, but not limited to, OSHA (29CFR 1926.552), AFOSHSTD 91-501, paragraph 10.9, and ANSI/ASME 17.1, latest edition, "Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators" and ANSI/ASME 17.4 latest edition, "Emergency Evacuation of Passengers from Elevators".
The annual firm-fixed-price would include regularly scheduled inspection and maintenance performed on a 6 month basis and a full-scale safety test performed on an annual basis. The contractor shall also perform repairs on both a routine and emergency basis. Response to breakdowns may need to be in as few as 14 days after notification from the COR. The price of parts/materials utilized in making repairs (outside of the bi-annual maintenance) are NOT included in the annual price, and would be purchased separatly.
Interested vendors should submit a capability statement, not exceeding ten (10) pages describing their relevant technical capability, and experience supporting requirements in Afghanistan, in either or both functional areas.
