The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a purchase order to Meinhard Glass Products, 700 Corporate Circle, Suite A, Golden, CO 80401. The authority for this sole source is FAR Part 6.302-1. The contractor shall provide to CDC a Electrothermal Vaporization Instrument (ETF) to interface with an Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer. Justification for other than full and open competition is because the contractor is the only company that sells the Electrothermal Vaporization instruments to meet lab requirements. No other ETV suppliers and other chromatography instrument can perform required functions. This is not a request for competitive proposals and a solicitation is not available. Firms that believe they can provide these services/supplies are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice to the Contract Specialist prior to the response date found in this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and are solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
