The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intend to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to the University of Southern California located in Los Angeles, CA for a Electrostatic Precipitator for particle collection. The University of California constructed and developed the electrostatic precipitator that will be used for collecting fine and ultrafine particles on small surface area substrates. The sampler works at 1.5 1pm or higher flowrate. The chemical artifacts due to ozone formation (corona discharge) are reduced to minimum by design.

This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304( c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
