The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source contract with Sage Science, 500 Cummings Center, Suite 2400, Beverly, MA 01915 for supply of two (2) PippinHT size selection electrophoresis systems, Item # HTP0001 and three (3) SageELF size selection system electrophoresis systems, Item # ELF0001. USDA contemplates a firm-fixed-price type contract. See attached justification for other than full and open competition.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must contain information sufficient in detail to allow USDA to determine if the party can perform the requirement. Responses and questions must be submitted in writing to Lisa Draves at [email protected]. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this propsoed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
