Amendment 1:
The purpose of this modification is to revise the closing date from 06/13/2014 to 06/17/2014. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to solicit for the design and production of an all-electric tram for the Patuxent Refuge in Maryland. This tram must accommodate at least 40 passengers (with a power car and trailer). The vehicle will be used almost every day for tours, which are not long in duration or length (a half-hour over a 2-mile route), and will be put away and plugged in each evening. The vehicle should have a top speed of 35 mph and will be operated on unpaved surfaces such as dirt, gravel, and sand with a full passenger load. Additional specifications will be provided in the statement of work, with all work to be completed by, and the tram delivered, 180 days after award. Evaluation criteria will be defined in the solicitation. This acquisition will result in a single contract awarded based on a best value determination. The associated North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code for this procurement is 336320. The solicitation shall be set aside for total small business. Work will begin immediately following award. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by this agency.
