The purpose of this amendment is to allow Quoters to submit request for clarifications. Clarifications shall be submitted to [email protected] and [email protected] no later than 5:00p.m. (Eastern), Tuesday, 17 August 2021. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the quotation submission date from Friday, 20 August 2021 to Tuesday, 24 August 2021. Quotations shall be submitted to [email protected] and [email protected] no later than Tuesday 24 August 2021. This changes Section L Instructions to Offerors, B. Request for Clarifications and C. Submission of Quotes (3).  

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is a component of the Department of the Treasury that designs, engraves, and prints U.S. banknote currency and other U.S. security products.  Banknote currency manufacturing occurs at BEP’s Eastern Currency Facility (ECF) located in Washington, DC and WCF located in Fort Worth, TX.  BEP’s primary customer is the Federal Reserve Board (FRB).

BEP ECF’s, Office of Engraving, Division of Plate Manufacturing has a need to purchase a new Wire Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) Machine for use in the production of surface pieces. These surface pieces are used on the Cope and LEPE machines, in the production of United States Currency.

This procurement is a small business set aside. The associated NAICS code is 333517, Machine Tool Manufacturing.
