The government (AFLCMC/PZIOB) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii). The proposed source is "Busek Co. Inc." The item being procured is an Electron Cyclotron Resonance (ECR) Cathode. This notice is being published for information purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotations received by the response date specified in this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be e-mailed to [email protected] AND [email protected] by 11:00 A.M. Eastern on 7 December 2012. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads "FA8601-13-T-0045, ECR Cathode." Note that e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson AFB are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e., .exe, or .zip files). Therefore, if this subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters. Also be advised that .zip or .exe files are not allowable attachments and may be deleted by the e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson AFB.
