The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Enviromental Health, Division of Laboratory Services plans to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Eckert and Ziegler Analytics, Inc., 1380 Seaboard Industrial Blvd, Atlanta, GA, 30318-2825. This will be a procurement for radionnuclides in iquid solution.

Eckert & Ziegler Analytics/Isotope Products is the only known manufacturer or commercial source in the United States that can provide radionuclides in liquid solution with customized activity levels and that come with a certificate of activity which is NIST traceable and produced to Health Physics Society and ANSI N42.22-1995 standards. We use NIST traceable quality standards to develop and validate specialized radiological analytical methods used for radiological terrorism response which comply to CLIA regulations. Eckert and Ziegler Analytics is the only source in the US that will customize the solutions to the activity concentrations that we request. They can also ensure that the material will be delivered in the timeline specified in the technical specifications.

The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The NAICS code for this procurement is, 325180 Other Basic Inorganic Chemical Manufacturing, size standard 1000.

No solicitation will be posted to Beta.Sam. This notice of intent is not a request for quote. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. 

Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
