The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron at Hurlburt Field FL intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Eaton Leonard Tooling, Inc, for Line Item 0001: Eaton Leonard Vector 1 series 5XP unit. This award is restricted to Eaton Leonard Tooling, Inc and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 333514 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 The government believes that Eaton Leonard is a patented and proprietary commercial product that can only be acquired through Eaton Leonard Tooling, Inc, and no other products are available that can support the current tube bending machine configuration which is an Eaton Leonard Model 4XL. This notice is NOT a request for quote. However, interested companies shall submit to the contracting officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length, single spaced, and 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services at or before 1:00 PM (central), 28 July 2010.
