This requirement is to provide Easy Media Creator Upgrade and Maintenance for USTRANSCOM/TCJ6-XI, Scott AFB, IL.  This will be solicited as a Limited Source procurement (Name Brand). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423430.   The period of performance will be Date of award for one year.  Companies who can provide the above listed software licenses must complete the solicitation, HC1028-08-T- available at http://www.fbo.gov/.  and return via email to [email protected].   The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price purchase order.  Offerors must have permission to service the intellectual property rights of Easy Media Creator software.    Estimated cost is $34,000.00

Justification

USTRANSCOM/TCJ6-XI proposes to purchase Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 Gold License Upgrade and Maintenance.  This purchase will be upgrades for 3,226 licenses.    

USTRANSCOM has already invested in 226 Roxio CinePlayer licenses and 3,226 Roxio Easy Media Creator (EMC) Silver licenses.  Unfortunately, the 226 Roxio CinePlayer licenses are not sufficient to cover USTRANSCOM's requirements for video-viewing software. Upgrading to Gold not only renews the maintenance support for the existing Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 licenses, but also increases the number of Cineplayer licenses.  Incorporating a different product to provide the same service to USTRANSCOM would result in unnecessary expenditures and require extensive resources for training and implementation not presently available.

Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 Gold is the most cost effective solution to satisfy the government's requirement.  Estimated dollar value is $34,000.00.
