Message to all prospective Bidders: YOUR PARTICIPATION IS NEEDED. As part of our responsibility to perform due diligence in our Good Faith Effort to secure minority and women owned businesses, please note the following as you consider bidding for this project. J.M. Thompson Company will review all responsible quotes and individual needs as related to the bidding project and also direct you to available agencies for assistance. The following areas can be reviewed and will be considered. 1. Joint pay agreements and the opportunity to rent equipment from J.M. Thompson Company. 2. Assistance and direction in obtaining bonding or insurance. Generally we do not require a bond from our sub-contractors. 3. Joint venture or partnership agreement, if appropriate. 4. Modifying our payment schedule to meet individual needs on submission on qualified invoice. Typically this means inserting a quick pay clause in the subcontract which allows for two billings per month in lieu of one. As additional help, J.M. Thompson Company has plans, specifications and requirements available for review by prospective minority and women owned businesses in our office plan room. In order to save you time and money in travel cost, J.M. Thompson Company has purchased a membership to buildingconnected which is an invitation invitation vehicle by which you are receiving the invitation. You may also visit your local MWBE office. We also accept quotations for specific elements of work that have been broken down or combined into economically feasible units to facilitate MWBE participation. Please contact Mark Abbott at our office if you have any questions (919)851-1611. X150
