The City of Safford will receive sealed bids on a general contract for the East 8th Street Improvements and Pine Avenue Connection Project, City of Safford Project No. 373-031. All bids must be presented on the prescribed forms included in the contract documents. A sealed original hard copy of the contractor's bids for the described work will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall for the City of Safford, at 717 West Main Street, Safford, Arizona 85546 until Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., after which sealed bids will be opened and read aloud in the office of the City Clerk. Electronic copies of bids shall not be accepted, in addition, bids received after the bid due date and time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Safford Mesa Yard, 405 W. Discovery Park Blvd., Safford, Arizona, 85546. Attendance at teh pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required. The Project includes the following Work: This project includes the rubblization of existing concrete pavement, and removal of existing sidewalk on East 8th Street between US HWY 191 and US HWY 70, with new construction of East 8th Street between US HWY 191 and US HWY 70 and the Pine Avenue Extension to 7th Street.
